I don't think I've recommended this series yet, and since I really, really LOVED it, I wanted to share it with anyone who is interested in urban fantasy/paranormal. It is the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost. There are currently 4 books in the series, but she is working on more. They really need to be read in order. They are about a woman named Cat who finds out she is half human/half vampire and, due to the way she was raised, she becomes a vampire slayer. Let's just say, she could kick Buffy's butt with one hand tied behind her back! ROFL. Anyway, she meets a vampire named Bones who trains her so together they can hunt bad vampires and kill them. It starts off as an uneasy alliance but quickly turns into something more. (Need I say more?)

Anyway, the series is great! I HIGHLY recommend it.

#1- Halfway to the Grave
#2- One Foot in the Grave
#3- At Grave's End
#4- Desinted for an Early Grave

The author has also started a 2nd series, the "Night Huntress World" series. These books (of which there is only 1 right now with another due out this summer I think) take place in the same "world" as the Night Huntress series, and revolve around secondary characters from those books. Think of them as spin-offs. They can be read without reading the Night Huntress books first, but I recommend reading them AFTER since they re-visit people from those books. The only one out right now is FIRST DROP OF CRIMSON. This book is very good and I recommend it, just after you read the other 4. biggrin.gif
